The bad news is that we were not able to pull off the event for August. We tried to be agressive and get all the details and sponsorhips nailed down in a short amount of time. Although some great sponsors did sign up, the summer slowdown and vacation schedules ultimately proved too much of an impediment to finding enough sponsors that would be around in August or having the ability to get buy in and budget sign off.
The good news is that we spoke with Eric and decided that a November event will give us enough time to sign up both sponsors and attendees.
We apologize for getting people's hopes up and then not being able to follow through for August.
The Evenbrite Sign-up page is still good and will reserve your place for the November event. If you haven't signed up yet but are interested, please do so, as the more attendees interested the easier it will be to land sponsors.
